Carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas (GHG) was emitted as a result of burning fossil fuels.

Carbon dioxide levels are higher now than anytime in the last 420,000 years. Human activities are principally responsible for these increased levels.

25% (more than 1 million) species of plants and animals face extinction in the wild if the temperature rises by just 2oC. Without action, global temperatures will rise by up to 8oC.
